Our name. We get asked this one a lot. Why Pink Elephant? It’s not that we love the color, as you can see by all the blues around here.  “Pink elephants” have long described moments so vivid they blur the line between reality and imagination— a reference popularized by Jack London. We took that idea and gave it new meaning.

For us, it’s about elevated moments — a cup at sunrise, a quiet pause, a view that stops you in your tracks. Coffee that sharpens the senses and makes the moment feel bigger, brighter, and unforgettable. That’s the experience we aim to create in every roast.

Founders Mitch and Kelley Baker are passionate about Utah's public lands. There’s nothing that we love more than sipping a cup of coffee while surrounded by vast public lands, wild places and native wildlife — whether we’re sitting by a campfire, hiking up a mountain, wading in a river, or simply enjoying the view. This is why we give a portion of sales to local nonprofit organizations to ensure our public lands are here to stay. Wander far, roam free.
